Honey Walnut Baklava
Layers of phyllo, nuts, and honey syrup. Sweet Mediterranean classic!

- 1 lb phyllo dough
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- For syrup: 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 cup honey, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp lemon juice

Layer 8 sheets phyllo in pan, brushing each with butter.

Sprinkle 1/3 nut mixture.

Repeat layers twice.

Top with 8 more phyllo sheets.

Cut into diamonds.

Bake at 325°F for 50 minutes until golden.

Make syrup: boil sugar and water, add honey, vanilla, lemon.
