Banana Cream Pie
Layers of vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, and whipped cream in a flaky crust.

- 1 baked 9-inch pie crust
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 cups milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Whisk sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk, and yolks in saucepan.

Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.

Slice 2 bananas into cooled crust.

Pour warm pudding over bananas.

Press plastic wrap on surface; chill 4 hours.

Whip cream with powdered sugar.

Top pie with whipped cream and remaining banana slices.
