New York Black and White Cookies

Iconic NYC bakery cookies half dipped in vanilla and chocolate fondant icing.

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • For white icing: 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 tbsp milk, 1 tsp vanilla
  • For dark icing: 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 tbsp milk, 1/4 cup cocoa

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Beat in eggs, milk, vanilla.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Scoop large rounds onto sheets.

    Bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes.

    Flip cookies flat-side up.

    Ice one half white, one half chocolate.
