Caramel Apple Tart

Thinly sliced apples arranged in a rose pattern over caramel on puff pastry.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 medium apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Cinnamon

    Roll puff pastry into 10-inch circle; place in tart pan.

    Make caramel: cook sugar until amber, add butter and cream.

    Pour caramel into crust.

    Slice apples very thin; arrange in overlapping circles.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes.
