Chai Spice Cupcakes

Warm chai-spiced cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup brewed chai tea
  • For frosting: 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 3 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon
