Cheese Danish Braid

Braided puff pastry filled with sweet cream cheese filling.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg for wash
  • Powdered sugar glaze

    Beat cream cheese, sugar, yolk, and vanilla.

    Roll pastry into rectangle; place on baking sheet.

    Spread filling down center third.

    Cut diagonal strips on sides.

    Fold strips over filling alternating sides.

    Brush with egg wash.

    Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.

    Drizzle with glaze.
