Classic Chess Pie

Simple Southern custard pie with a caramelized sugar top. Old-fashioned perfection!

  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
