Chocolate Cream Pie
Silky chocolate pudding in a cookie crust with fresh whipped cream.

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 cups whole milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups heavy cream for topping

Mix crumbs and butter; press into pie plate. Chill.

Whisk sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk, and yolks in saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick.

Remove from heat; add chocolate, butter, vanilla. Stir until smooth.

Pour into crust; press plastic wrap on surface.

Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

Whip cream; spread on pie.

Top with chocolate shavings.
