Buttery Croissants

Flaky, golden croissants with layers upon layers of buttery goodness.

  • 3 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 cups cold butter for laminating
  • 1 egg for wash

    Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and milk into a dough.

    Pound butter into a flat rectangle.

    Wrap dough around butter and fold in thirds.
