Oval-shaped flaky pastry with almond filling and sweet glaze. Wisconsin state pastry.

- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup cold butter
- 8 oz sour cream
- For filling: 1 cup almond paste, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup sugar
- For glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, sliced almonds

Cut butter into flour; stir in sour cream.

Chill overnight.

Roll into long oval.

Spread filling down center.

Fold sides over; shape into oval ring.
