- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- For buttercream: 6 oz dark chocolate, 1 cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa
- For caramel: 1/2 cup sugar

Beat yolks and half the sugar until thick.

Beat whites with remaining sugar; fold together.

Fold in flour.

Bake in thin layers.

Make chocolate buttercream.

Stack layers with buttercream.
