Homemade Banana Bread

Moist, tender banana bread with a hint of cinnamon. Perfect way to use overripe bananas!

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

    In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

    Mix in the melted butter, then add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.

    Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, and mix well.

    Add the flour and cinnamon, stirring until just combined.

    Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

    Bake for 55-65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
