- 2 1/4 tsp yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, cold
- 1 cup sugar

Mix yeast, water, flour, and salt. Rise 1 hour.

Roll dough; place cold butter in center.

Fold and roll three times, resting between.

Roll out; sprinkle with sugar.

Fold, roll, sprinkle with more sugar.

Cut into squares; place in muffin tin.

Bake at 400°F for 22-25 minutes until deeply caramelized.

Remove immediately from pan.
