Lemon Poppy Seed Cake

Light, bright lemon cake flecked with poppy seeds and glazed with lemon syrup.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Zest of 3 lemons
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • For syrup: 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup sugar
