Free-form tart with mixed berries. Easier than pie and just as delicious!

  • 1 pie crust
  • 4 cups mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg beaten for wash
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling

    Roll crust into 12-inch circle on parchment-lined baking sheet.

    Toss berries with sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.

    Pile berries in center, leaving 2-inch border.

    Fold edges over fruit, pleating as you go.

    Brush crust with egg wash; sprinkle with coarse sugar.

    Bake 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
