Soft Molasses Cookies
Chewy spiced cookies with crinkled tops. Old-fashioned holiday favorite!

- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Sugar for rolling

Cream butter and sugar; add egg and molasses.

Mix dry ingredients; add to wet.

Chill dough 1 hour.

Roll into balls; roll in sugar.
