- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp yeast
- 2 tbsp butter
- Oats for topping

Pour boiling water over oats; let sit 20 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients; knead 8 minutes.

Shape into loaf; brush with water and top with oats.
