Pear Frangipane Tart

Sliced pears nestled in almond frangipane filling. Elegant French classic!

  • 1 tart shell
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 3 ripe pears
  • 2 tbsp apricot jam

    Preheat oven to 375°F.

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add almond flour, eggs, flour, and extract.

    Spread frangipane in tart shell.

    Peel and slice pears; arrange in fan pattern.

Baker's Tips

  • Bosc or Anjou pears hold shape best
