Pistachio Rose Cake

Green pistachio cake layers with rose cream cheese frosting and crushed pistachios.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup pistachio flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • For frosting: 16 oz cream cheese, 1 cup butter, 6 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp rose water
  • Crushed pistachios

    Mix flours, baking powder, salt.

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, extract.

    Alternate dry and milk.

    Bake in three pans at 350F for 25-30 minutes.

    Make rose cream cheese frosting.

    Frost layers; press pistachios on sides.
