Salted Caramel Cupcakes

Vanilla cupcakes filled with caramel and topped with salted caramel buttercream.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • For frosting: 1 cup butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup caramel sauce, 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt

    Make cupcakes with standard method; bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes.

    Core center; fill with caramel.

    Beat butter; add sugar, caramel.
