Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes

• 1 box vanilla cake mix
• Eggs, oil, water per box
• 2 cups diced strawberries
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• Fresh strawberries for topping

   Bake cupcakes per box directions.

   Macerate strawberries with sugar.

   Core cupcakes; fill with strawberries.

   Whip cream with sugar.

   Pipe onto cupcakes.

   Top with fresh strawberry.
