Thumbprint Jam Cookies

Buttery shortbread cookies with a sweet jam center. Perfect for holidays!

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup jam of choice

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cream butter and sugar until light.

    Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.

    Mix in flour and salt until combined.

    Roll into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheets.

    Press thumb into center of each cookie.

    Fill each indentation with 1/2 tsp jam.

    Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
