Tiramisu Cupcakes

Coffee-soaked vanilla cupcakes with mascarpone frosting and cocoa dust.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup strong espresso
  • 2 tbsp Kahlua
  • For frosting: 8 oz mascarpone, 1/2 cup butter, 3 cups powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder

    Make vanilla cupcakes; bake at 350F for 18-20 minutes.

    Mix espresso and Kahlua.

    Poke holes; drizzle coffee mixture over.

    Beat mascarpone, butter, and sugar.

    Pipe onto cupcakes.

    Dust generously with cocoa.

Baker's Tips

  • Don't oversoak - a drizzle is enough
  • Mascarpone must be at room temperature
